This is a digital painting (170+ hours of painting from sketch to final) of Paul Atreides on his homeworld of Caladan prior to the migration of House Atreides to Arrakis. I loved this moment in IMAX and wanted to capture the weight of duty that Paul feels as the successor his families empire. The theme of solitude and isolation ever-present in my work continues….
